About Myself

I am a Certified Canadian Counsellor and Professional Art Therapist from Whitehorse, Yukon. I was born and raised in the Yukon and am a proud member of Tr'ondëk Hwëchin. My spirit name is Nanh Vigii, which means Her child of the land. I have a Master of Counselling Psychology – Art Therapy from Adler University and an undergraduate degree in Social Work from the University of Regina.

I have experience working with children, youth, adults, older adults, and families dealing with various social issues and life transitions. I take a trauma-informed, person-centred, positive psychotherapy and holistic approach to help people reach their goals. I recognize the importance of exploring and honouring an individual's interconnection with family, community, and the world as fundamental to personal well-being.

I offer art therapy and counselling focusing on the creative process and expressions of thoughts, feelings, and belief systems. This journey can lead to problem-solving, insight, self-awareness, improved self-esteem, lower stress, and enhanced interpersonal skills. I use various art mediums such as acrylic, watercolour, pastel, charcoal, pencil, clay and traditional art forms such as beadwork and textile arts, assisting clients in connecting with their creative source, potential and true nature and through the process, improving their well-being emotionally, mentally, physically, and spiritually.
